We have a dedicated customer service team available to help answer all your questions but before you apply all you need is: a copy of your driver’s licence and a home utilities bill, along with the details of your business premise lease.
The rental agreement commences on the day of delivery and your first payment will be deducted seven days later.
Our rental agreement term is 12 months, but you have the option to purchase the equipment at any time and will receive 50% of the rent you have paid, off the original purchase price.
The security bond is an amount held as security against the equipment financed. Generally this is equal to 6 weeks of the rental amount, however if your current business is trading for greater than two years you may be eligible for no upfront costs.
When you exercise your purchase option, upon Silver Chef’s receipt of the funds, the security bond will be refunded usually within seven days. If you choose to return the equipment at the end of the contract, the security bond will be refunded less any cleaning, transport or repair costs.
When and how to pay
Our product is purely a rental and does not have a rate. The rental cost is calculated from the original equipment price and a rebate is applicable if you wish to purchase.
Your equipment rental will be drawn weekly through a simple direct debit.
We will Direct Debit from you nominated bank account.
Just click on the link in your email and read and accept the terms and conditions. This will generate a signature for you. Push Start and follow the yellow tabs that will appear on the left. This will take you through your contracts and assist you in signing the documents. If you ever have any trouble please call our customer service team whom will be able to talk you through the process over the phone.
Find out about your options after 12 months
You payout at the end of 12 months will be the year one purchase price outlined on your rental agreement. This is the cost price less 50% of the rent paid. You can purchase the equipment anytime after the first 12 months and your purchase price will continue to reduce, once your equipment has been paid out your bond will be refunded to you.
Call or email us and we will send a rental return letter outlining all costs and drop off location. Silver Chef can also assist with your transport.
We would ask that the new owner fill in an application form. The new owner can take over all the equipment but is not obligated to. This can be discussed between the old and new owner. For further options that may be available to you, please contact our customer service team on 0800 453 010.
Receiving, servicing and maintaining your equipment
All new equipment comes with a manufacturer’s warranty and is held by your chosen dealer, this is usually 12 months.
Call your dealer and they will guide you in the right direction to get the equipment repaired under warranty through the supplier. If out of warranty the repair will be at your expense but our service team will be able to assist in helping you find a preferred technician to help get the equipment up and running as quickly as possible.
This depends on the size and condition of the equipment when it is returned to us. We will email you a pricing guide on the cleaning and servicing.
Yes you can pick up your equipment or this can be coordinated with your dealer. Your rental agreement wont commence until your equipment has been received.
Take photos and call you dealer before you accept the equipment. You dealer will advise you as to what they would like you to do.
